The Abu Dhabi government has announced the launch of its digital strategy for the 2025–2027 period, aiming for a qualitative leap to become the world’s first fully AI-powered government by 2027. This plan relies on enhancing digital infrastructure and developing innovative technical solutions to provide government services based on an “Arabic artificial intelligence” that supports local development.
Strategic investments for a sustainable economy
The strategy has allocated 13 billion UAE dirhams ($3.5 billion) between 2025 and 2027 to support digital infrastructure and automate all government operations. It is expected to add more than 24 billion dirhams to the emirate’s economy and create over 5,000 new jobs, with a focus on increasing Emiratization opportunities.
Empowering citizens with artificial intelligence technology
Abu Dhabi’s strategy focuses on delivering innovative solutions through the “AI for All” initiative, which provides citizens with the necessary training to use and develop “Arabic artificial intelligence” technologies. The plan aims to improve services through more than 200 AI-based solutions while ensuring the sustainability of cybersecurity systems via modern technologies.
